Terms & Conditions

 

By booking on any of our courses or accommodation you agree to abide by our terms and conditions. We reserve the right to make amendments to the Cookery Courses content and recipes without notice.

What’s included
Ingredients, utensils, knives, recipe books, equipment, refreshments and aprons are provided for all courses. So all you need to do is bring yourself, a big smile and a big appetite.

What’s not included
Accommodation & footwear; wear something comfortable as there is a few hours of standing.

Application requirements
You must be 18 years or over to attend any course, anyone under the age of 18 needs to be accompanied by a parent or guardian.

Skill Levels
All of our courses are open to all range of skills and ages. We have kept the number of people on each course to six, to ensure everyone gets as much attention from the chef as they should, and to ensure you go home with the confidence to jump straight into the kitchen.

Health & Safety
We advise all course participants to arrive with comfortable and safe shoes in the kitchen (preferably not flip-flops!) Although we provide aprons we are not liable for any garments of clothing, so we recommend you come along wearing something that isn’t your Sunday best & could cope with a little splash of sauce or light dusting of flour!

Special dietary requirements, food allergies & illness
We try to be as flexible and as accommodating as possible when it comes to dietary requirements, so we can easily substitute a certain ingredient for a similar product. In the event that we are unable to source a similar product we will make arrangements for you to create something different but equally tasty!

Please inform us in advance of any allergies, disabilities, diabetes, pregnancy, epilepsy, learning difficulties etc. when booking or via phone.

Ingredients & Produce

We withhold the right to change the recipes and course content dependant on the ingredients available to us at any given time of the year. We maintain the highest levels of food hygiene and have a five star rating from our local council. However when using raw products we cannot be held responsible for issues that are out of our control.

Payment

Our Courses: All payments should be made in full at the time of booking for both the Cookery Course and for the accommodation where appropriate. We do not take provisional bookings and cannot confirm your place on a course or for accommodation until we receive full payment. We accept also Mastercard/Visa Credit Cards. Our transaction partner is PayPal

Cancellations & Refunds Policy

Standard 21 day cancellation policy

Cancellations more than 21 days from of the start of your course:

This means that you may request a change of course dates up to 21 days of the start of the course and we will happily transfer you to another date, or course subject to availability without any extra charge.

You may also request a refund up to 21 days of the start of the course you have booked. There is an administration and handling charge for course cancellations to offset the costs incurred. This fee is charged at £10 per course booking.

Cancellations within 21 days of the start of your course:

Many of our courses are booked a long way in advance, and as such any cancellations with 21 days of the course cannot be refunded or transferred to a different date. Cancellations within this time can result in lost revenue that can then affect the quality of the courses that we deliver.  If a person fails to attend on the day without notice, we cannot offer a refund and reserve our right to refuse a transfer to another course.

Gift Vouchers

Refunds are not available on gift voucher purchases, nor can Gift Vouchers be exchanged for cash or other goods. Our gift vouchers expire after 12 months from the purchase date.

Travel Insurance is strongly recommended

For anyone travelling and staying in local accommodation, we cannot be held responsible for any situations out of our control and we strongly recommend travel insurance to be purchased.

Travel insurance will cover you for most issues that may prevent you from attending your course such as illness, sickness of an immediate relative, travel disruption etc. We will be happy to assist you with invoices and paperwork in support of your claim on your insurance.

Cancellations by Four Gables Food Academy

In the unlikely event of cancellation of a course by Four Gables Food Academy, we will offer you the opportunity to move to an alternative date or course, or a full refund offered (within 7 days) of any course fees and accommodation fees. We cannot be held liable for any third-party costs, such as travel bookings or accommodation with hotels other than our related accommodation.

Delivery & Confirmation

Cookery Courses & Gift Vouchers

Upon the booking of a course you will receive confirmation of your order by email, to your nominated email address. If you have ordered a gift voucher we will post it via Royal Mail. Any vouchers purchased before 12pm will leave us on the same day, however we cannot be held responsible for delivery via Royal Mail and any other third-parties. We recommend buying gift vouchers 7 to 10 days before you wish to present them. Gift vouchers can be delivered to the buyer or to the recipient directly. All gift vouchers are posted in un-branded envelopes to avoid spoiling any early surprises. You will also receive a written email confirmation of your order.

Copyright & Acceptable Usage

Full copyright of course content developed by Four Gables Food Academy is retained by the academy. The course content has been developed by our chefs at Four Gables Food Academy and it holds commercial value. The sharing of course materials by print, press, photocopy, email, blogs, internet or any digital transfer medium is strictly prohibited without the express written permission of Four Gables Food Academy. Please ask about what is and isn’t acceptable usage.
